Freqently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page for The School of Creative Wellness. We know that beginning something new can bring up lots of practical questions. Whether you’re curious about what to expect in a class, how online workshops work, or simply where to start. This page is here to give you clarity and confidence before you join us, and to help you understand more about the unique approach we take to women’s wellbeing.

  • Not at all. All of our classes, courses, and workshops are designed to be accessible to complete beginners as well as those with more experience. You don’t need to be “flexible” or “creative” to take part—just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

  • The Sanctuary Within is our Sunday online Yin and Restorative Yoga class. It’s a 75-minute gathering of women practicing together across the world, with practices that include breathwork, yoga nidra, and self-massage. It’s a weekly space of deep rest and radical self-care.

  • For online yoga, you’ll need a mat, two blocks or books, a bolster (or rolled-up blanket), a belt or tie, and two blankets. For creative workshops, you may need a notebook or art materials—details are always shared in advance.

  • Online workshops take place via Zoom. You’ll receive a link once you register, and you can join from anywhere in the world. Workshops include a mix of yoga, breathwork, and creative enquiry, and you’ll be guided step by step through the process.

  • Yes, every woman is welcome to a free taster class before subscribing to our regular offerings. This gives you a chance to experience the practices and see if they feel right for you.

  • Our in-person Yin and Restorative classes are based in Headbourne Worthy, near Winchester, Hampshire. Retreats and events also take place in Hampshire and surrounding areas.

  • If you join a workshop or class that’s recorded, you’ll receive access to the replay so you can revisit the practice in your own time. Our on-demand courses are also available instantly, so you can practice whenever it suits you.

Who We Are & Who It’s For

The School of Creative Wellness was founded by Susanna Edwards, yoga teacher, breathwork guide and former art and design academic. Based in Winchester, Hampshire, but accessible online worldwide, the School provides a supportive space for women to reconnect with themselves through body, breath and creativity.

Our work is designed for women navigating stress, burnout, hormonal shifts, or times of transition. It’s also for those who simply want to slow down, build resilience and cultivate balance in their everyday lives. Whether you’re new to yoga, rediscovering your practice, or exploring creative enquiry for the first time, you’ll be welcomed as you are, with compassion and care.
