X Emily Bruce Yoga
The School of Creative Wellness in collaboration with the amazing yoga teacher/therapist and rest activist Emily Bruce. Susanna has been up-skilling with 60 hours of Restorative Yoga and 80 hours of additional Yin yoga teacher training to add to her qualifications and is incorporating her creative approaches to felt sense exploration into her practice. Emily skillfully weaves yoga therapy and yoga philosophy into her practice. Together they create truly unique events.
Between the two, Emily & Susanna are curating two unique Deep Rest Retreats In October 2025 to shift into Winter, and in February 2026 to deeply nourish in the depths of Winter. Two special guests will join us for the February event: Lisa Stewart a mental health nurse plus a special guest Sound Therapist for an additional evening event. Prepare for a series of truly unique deep rest experiences.

Emily Bruce obtained her British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in 2018 and then completed a YogaCampus Yoga Therapy Diploma in January 2023. Emily is passionate about the therapeutic ability of yoga to reduce suffering and promote wellbeing. She weaves yoga philosophy & yoga therapy into her taught practice beautifully.

As the days shorten and the air grows crisp, prepare your being for a gentle transition into winter. This intimate afternoon retreat is a perfect prelude to the season of quiet introspection.
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Gentle Movement & Grounding with Emily – Ease into the afternoon with mindful movement designed to release tension and invite presence.
Tea Break – A moment to sip, breathe, and simply be.
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Guided Yoga Nidra with Susanna – Drift into a state of deep conscious relaxation, melting away stress and restoring your nervous system.
4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Processing & Self-Reflection with Susanna – Engage in gentle journaling or creative visual exploration, allowing insights to emerge.
4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Sharing & Closing Circle with Emily – A beautiful opportunity to connect and reflect in a supportive, nurturing space.

Led by a unique cross-disciplinary team of a Yin & Restorative Yoga Teacher (with a creative background), a Yoga Therapist, and a Mental Health Nurse, our approach is deeply informed and intuitively guided. We understand the subtle interplay of your physical, mental, and emotional worlds.
Your Daily Journey of Deep Rest Includes:
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Gentle Movement & Chakra-Themed Meditation with Emily – Awaken your body and energy subtly. (Content varies for Sunday)
Tea Break
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Empowering Processing Workshop with Lisa (with input from Susanna & Emily) – Explore insights through journaling, group connection, and mindful movement. (Content varies for Sunday)
Lunch & Fresh Air Break
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Yin, Acupressure & Neuroscience Hacks with Susanna – Unlock deeper release and understanding of your body-mind connection. (Content varies for Sunday)

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra Joint Teaching with Susanna & Emily – A potent blend of supported postures and guided relaxation to deeply restore. (Content varies for Sunday)
PLUS, a Special Evening Event on Saturday, Feb 14th:
8:00 PM - 9:30 PM: Immersive Soundbath – Allow the resonant vibrations to wash over you, promoting deep relaxation and energetic recalibration. *This is an optional additional experience for retreat participants at a educed entry fee, this soundbath will also be open to the public as a stand alone event.
Throughout both days, you'll benefit from processing kits designed for writing, visual exploration, and connecting Yin practices with neuroscience insights. We also provide thoughtful signposting to resources for continued support beyond the retreat.
